Panasonic Digiboxes - problems specific to these receivers.
Astra 2D channel selection problems (BBC / ITV channels):
You get a "No Satellite Signal .." message when BBC, ITV, and other Astra 2D programmes are selected. The current complete list of all the tv channels transmitting off Astra 2D can be found HERE.
This is usually intermittent and can be cured by flicking up and down the channels and always by momentarily disconnecting the LNB cable at the tuner "F" connector behind the Digibox. This kit is for the TU-DSB20, 30, 31 35 and 40. It will definitely NOT fit non-Panasonic receivers. So dont ask. If you are having problems with a different make, you have a different problem. (The 40 is a new addition to this list - as the first ones start to age, they are starting to show the same problems as the earlier types.)
The filter will cure these symptoms and is easy to fit with just 3 wires to solder. If these are not your symptoms then it won't work.
Models affected: TU-DSB20, 30, 31, 35, & 40 (later models not affected). The newest version is slightly smaller and has an LED on extended wires. This means that you can fit the LED to the front panel if you wish - either by drilling a hole or by replacing the "message" LED - so you can see the filter doing its job.
Broken UHF connector:
Commonly reported problems for these receivers is that the second UHF connector gets snapped off the back of the box. These are easy to replace - remove the top cover, undo 1 screw, and plug in the new lead.
