Fucino Earth Station.
Fucino Earth Station in Italy uplinks many channels onto the Hotbirds at 13E. They use a variety of test cards on inactive channels.
This test card with the purple stripe is the version most commonly seen:
However, occasionally, a version of this card appears which has a green stripe:
The slide below is rarely seen. It is a rather dull colour bar slide with the Earth Station name across it:
Just occasionally, something seems to go wrong with the computer generation of the test card..... This was spotted the end of October 2003 on 13E, but it soon disappeared :-) (Update - this card also spotted 5th October 2004!)
Into 2004, and Fucino Earth Station Italy continue to surprise with their testcards. This variation with a horrible pink cast was used mid January for a few days. This one was also used without the "Fucino E/S" central banner on one transponder:
